Connecting with the Community at Aurora Colony Days - Trinity R.
Wilsonville Subaru was proud to take part in this year's Aurora Colony Days parade with two vehicles representing our team in the community. One vehicle escorted the Mayor of Hubbard, while the other escorted the Mayor of Aurora as part of a lively parade lineup that included local law enforcement, a band, marching groups, and floats. The two-mile parade route brought out plenty of spectators, and we were grateful for the warm reception along the way. Events like Aurora Colony Days are a great opportunity to connect with local residents, support neighboring communities, and be part of traditions that bring people together. We're thankful to everyone who welcomed Wilsonville Subaru into this year's celebration, and we're already looking forward to being back in the parade next year!
Wilsonville Subaru Continues Support Through Subaru Loves to Care - Trinity R.
Last week, the Wilsonville Subaru team was honored to visit Providence Newberg Cancer Institute as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. During our visit, we donated 80 children's blankets and care kits to help bring a little extra comfort to patients and their families during what can often be a difficult time. We have proudly partnered with Providence Newberg Cancer Institute for the past four years, and each visit continues to be a meaningful reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. A soft blanket, a thoughtful care kit, and a moment of connection may seem simple, but they can offer comfort and support when it is needed most. Through Subaru Loves to Care, Wilsonville Subaru is proud to be part of an effort that goes beyond the showroom and into the heart of the community. Supporting local patients and families in moments like these reflects what the Subaru Love Promise is all about: showing care, building connection, and helping others in meaningful ways. Last week, Wilsonville Subaru was proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation for a tree distribution event that brought our community together in such a fun and meaningful way. From free trees to tacos, prizes to pups, the day was full of the kind of energy that makes events like this so special. We loved seeing people stop by, spend time together, and leave with something they could take home and grow. It was a simple event on the surface, but it reflected something much bigger: a shared commitment to caring for our environment and for the community we are lucky to be part of. Why this event mattered The Subaru Loves the Earth initiative is rooted in the idea that small actions can create a lasting impact. Through Subaru's partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, retailers across the country help provide and distribute trees to support greener, healthier communities. Trees do so much more than add beauty to a neighborhood. They help clean the air, support cleaner water, cool communities, and create benefits that can last for generations. Events like this are a reminder that environmental care does not have to feel distant or complicated. Sometimes it starts by simply putting a tree in someone's hands. Blood Drive with American Red Cross - Trinity R.
Wilsonville Subaru was proud to recently partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive in our showroom. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who showed up, took time out of their day, and gave blood to help others in need. Community events like this always matter, but there is something especially meaningful about seeing people come together for such a direct and personal act of care. Each donation has the potential to help patients facing emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatment, and other serious medical needs, and that makes every donor part of something much bigger than a single event. Why blood donation matters Giving blood is one of the most immediate ways people can make a difference in the lives of others. Hospitals rely on blood donations every day to care for patients in critical situations, and that need never really goes away. A single appointment may feel small in the moment, but for someone waiting on care, it can mean everything. That is part of what made this blood drive so important to us. It was a chance to create a space where our community could show up for one another in a real and lasting way. Partnering with the American Red Cross The American Red Cross has a long history of helping connect donors with patients and communities in need. Their work has supported lifesaving care across the country for generations, and we were grateful for the opportunity to partner with them for this event. Winter Warmth in Wilsonville: Operation Warm at OCDC - Trinity R.
Last week, Wilsonville Subaru was proud to continue our support of Operation Warm by donating 120 brand-new coats to the Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC). It was one of those community moments that feels simple on the surface, but sticks with you long after it ends. Families gathered at OCDC's Settlemier Center, kids picked out coats that fit, and the room filled with the kind of energy you hope for at an event like this: excitement, relief, and a lot of smiles. Operation Warm is more than coats Operation Warm's mission goes beyond winter gear. It is about helping children feel warm, confident, and ready to take on their day. A new coat is practical, but it is also personal. Kids get something that is theirs, that fits, and that helps them feel comfortable showing up to school during the cold months. Wilsonville Subaru supports this work through our partnership with Subaru Loves to Help, and we are grateful to be able to bring that support directly to families here in our community. Why we partner with Oregon Child Development Coalition OCDC serves children and families across Oregon through early learning and family support services. Their work creates stability for families and helps kids get a strong start. That care and attention showed clearly throughout the event. Staff and volunteers helped families feel welcome, kept things organized, and made sure every child had the chance to find the right coat. The details that made the day feel special This year's coat delivery was extra meaningful. Along with the joy of kids choosing their winter gear, families were able to enjoy sweet treats during the event, including champurrado and pan dulce. Those small touches helped turn a coat pickup into something warmer and more personal: a community gathering that felt friendly and full of care. Wilsonville Subaru Delivers Hope - Tovi E.
On June 12th, Wilsonville Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Providence Medical Center - Newberg through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. This partnership involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. Through Wilsonville Subaru’s participation in these programs, it shows they care. Wilsonville Subaru consistently shows up and shows out for their community, and that impact was felt on the delivery day. Providence Medical Center - Newberg was a joy to work with, and we were so happy they were the recipients of Wilsonville Subaru’s donation. We are so grateful to work and live in a community that takes care of one another. Cancer patients in Newberg receive a gift of comfort - Trinity R.
On a bright June morning, Dick Spence, guest relations at Wilsonville Subaru, arrived at the Providence Cancer Institute Newberg Clinic with boxes of plush blankets. The gifts go into chemotherapy kits for patients beginning treatment. The kits—tote bags filled with an assortment of thoughtful items—are provided by Providence Newberg Health Foundation to offer comfort to patients during a challenging time. Chemotherapy is typically delivered through an infusion, a process where anti-cancer medications are delivered in a vein, often over several hours. Patients spend this time in treatment chairs, sometimes for multiple sessions each week, depending on their treatment plan. At the Newberg clinic, the infusion room is comfortable and bright with sweeping views of the forested hills beyond. Still, treatment can be physically and emotionally taxing. That’s where the kits come in. Each one includes items such as lip balm, a stress ball, a water bottle, an activity book and other essentials to help patients stay hydrated and at ease during infusions. The blankets donated by Subaru are cleverly folded and zipped into a heart-shaped pillow, an added touch of comfort. “We’re proud of being able to do this for our patients, and they love it,” says Melissa Sayyah, clinic manager at the Providence Cancer Institute Newberg Clinic. Building community partnerships Subaru has been providing blankets with an encouraging message for patients at the Newberg clinic for more than five years. The gifts are part of Subaru Loves to Care, a nationwide initiative in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that supports people facing cancer and their families. Dick serves as the liaison between Wilsonville Subaru and Providence. “Our philosophy is to be a part of the community, not just an entity,” he says. He loves his role and believes deeply in the importance of showing up for others. The program continues to grow every year, filling a need and strengthening community ties in the process. “It’s a great thing to do for people,” says Dick. Wilsonville Subaru was honored to serve as the presenting sponsor for the 2nd Annual Golf For Wishes Tournament, held at Langdon Farms Golf Club. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, played, and donated to make this event such a success. Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants and supporters, the tournament raised more than $172,000. These funds will help grant life-changing wishes for local children waiting for their dreams to come true. We are deeply grateful to Make-A-Wish Oregon for the extraordinary work they do to bring hope and joy to children and families in our community.
