Safety
The Outback comes equipped with two more airbags than the Ford Escape, for additional safety and added peace of mind. Available EyeSight technology has received the highest possible rating from IIHS for front crash prevention. This Subaru-specific technology is not available on the Ford Escape.
Towing & Fuel
The 2,700 lb. towing capacity of the Outback is 1,200 lb. more than that of the Ford Escape. The Outback also has a slightly higher fuel economy (25/32/29) compared to the Escape (22/28/25), and a larger fuel tank to keep your Subaru on the road longer in between fill-ups.
