Hundreds of surfers and surfing fans gathered at Pacific City on Friday, September 14th for the 20th annual Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic. This three-day event started Friday evening with dinner and a beer garden, where surfers gathered and prepared for the long weekend ahead.
The competition started Saturday morning at 8 o’clock, with age groups ranging from children accompanied by parents to those 70 and older. Wilsonville Subaru’s very own Justin Snodgrass competed in the 30-39 age division.
Saturday afternoon consisted of a brewfest presented by Pelican brewing, where 15 local breweries poured beer and ZuhG provided excellent live music.
